Hello all,
I was joined by Oxford's top media hotshot, Alex Baxter, editor of the OxStu to go through all the week's fun and games from Oxford, across the UK and around the world.
We discussed Obama's plans to close Guantanamo, Jonathan Ross' return to the tv-waves, the student sit-in at the Bod, Britain in recession and the new Oxford Gossip website.
Then, things got a bit more heated with the weekly debate of all the top stories. Thanks to Labour's Owen Evans, Conservative Andrew Mason and LibDem Mark Mills for being part of the first week's discussion.
I asked them what they thought of the university caving into student demands on the Gaza situation, who was to blame for the UK being in recession, what their greatest fear regarding Obama is, why Oxford is failing to attract poorer students and what they thought of porn (in the form of Larry Flynt) coming to the Union.
Meaty.
Join me on Sunday when OUSU president, Lewis Iwu, will be reviewing the news and Labour President-Elect, Jamie Susskind, Conservative Treasurer, Alexander Elias, and LibDem Secretary, Peter Sloman will be telling us what they make of all the week's happenings.
